What is personal data?

Who we are, what we do, and how we get your data
Techire AI is a technology recruitment agency. We collect information about you which enables us to find available opportunities and assess your suitability throughout the recruitment process. This is collected in our capacity as a recruitment agency, recruitment business and talent consultancy as well as an employer if you want to work for us.
You may have applied for a job directly to us or we may have found your details from an online job board or social networking site. We are able to process your data if we have a legal basis for doing so.
We collect information about you to carry out our core business and ancillary activities.

What legal basis do we have for using your information?
For prospective candidates, contractors, referees and clients, our processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in that we need the information in order to be able to assess suitability for potential roles, to find potential candidates and to contact clients and referees.
If you are interviewed and submitted as a candidate, then this may involve the processing of more detailed personal data including sensitive data such as health information that you or others provide about you. In that case we always ask for your consent before undertaking such processing.
For clients, we may also rely on our processing being necessary to perform a contract for you, if one is in place, or to take steps to enter into a contract.
We may also process your data to comply with our legal obligations or where we need to protect your interests (or someone else's interests) or where it is needed in the public interest.
Retaining your data
We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary. Different laws require us to keep different data for different periods of time.
The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, require us to keep work-seeker records for at least one year from (a) the date of their creation or (b) after the date on which we last provide you with work-finding services.
We must also keep your payroll records, holiday pay, sick pay and pensions auto-enrolment records for as long as is legally required by HMRC and associated national minimum wage, social security and tax legislation.
Where we have obtained your consent to process your personal data, we will do so in line with our retention policy. Upon expiry of that period the Company will seek further consent from you. Where consent is not granted the Company will cease to process your personal data.

This Privacy Notice is regularly reviewed and may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our business, or legal or commercial practice. Where an update is relevant to our processing of your data, we shall notify you of the same.
